Acknowledgment and Acceptance of Terms

At Parkway Projects Limited ("Parkway”, "we,” "us," or "our"), we respect the privacy of our online visitors and registered users ("Users"), and as such, we will take reasonable steps to protect your information.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use Personal Data from customers and other individuals collectively ("YOU", "YOUR"), who access or use our websites, which are collectively referred to herein as our ("Website"), products, or services (the "Services").

Information We Collect

Parkway obtains Personal Data about you from various sources to provide and manage our products and services. You may be a visitor to one of our websites, a user of one or more of our Services, or a customer of one of our Services. In cases where we act as a data processor, your Personal Data may also be governed by a separate agreement between you and a third party that is interacting with our Services on your behalf, although generally subject to the provisions of relevant laws on data protection, including the NDPA. If you have questions about this scenario, direct them to the user with whom you are transacting. Where such questions come to us directly, we may respond to them through the appropriate party that obtained your Personal Data.

  • Financial information: such as Bank Verification Number (BVN) and personal account details.
  • Identity Data: Information such as your full name(s), your sex, nationality, photograph, liveliness video, State, LGA, date of birth, and National Identity number
  • Personal contact information including your home address, personal telephone number(s) and personal email address.
  • Business contact information if applicable including business email address, telephone number, and office address.
  • Cardholder data: Information such as Primary Account Number (PAN), cardholder name or expiration date.

How We obtain Personal information:

We collect information directly when you:

  • Create an account for any of our products or services.
  • Fill our online forms
  • Contact our product support team
  • Contact us through any of our websites

Information learnt from your use

When you visit our website or subscribe to any of our services, our company servers will automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. This data may include:

  • The time spent on those pages, items, and information searched for on our site, access times and dates, and other statistics.

This ensures we are fully compliant with all applicable financial legislation such as AntiMoney Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Laws.

Contractual NecessityWe may process your information where it is necessary to enter a contract with you to provide our products or services or perform our obligations under that contract.

Legitimate interestsWe may process your information in our legitimate interests as an organization and without prejudicing your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.

We will respond to your access request within one month of receiving your request. Where we are not able to provide this personal data to you within the One-Month timeline provided by law, we will communicate the same to you and may request an additional time within which we will provide the information to you. Your Personal Data shall be provided to you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
  • The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request that we complete the information you think is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure – You have the right to request that we erase your data.
  • The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your data.
  • The right to object to processing –You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data where such processing affects your freedom, privacy, or dignity. You may also object at any time to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. This right may be overridden where the processing is necessary for reasons of national security, the prevention or investigation of crimes, the protection of the rights and freedoms of others, or for other overriding public interest and considerations.
  • The right not to be subjected to automated decision-making – You have the right to express concern when your personal data is used for automated decision-making processes, including activities such as risk profiling or fraud-scoring algorithms. Where such decisions significantly affect you, you have the right to request human intervention, to obtain an explanation of the decision, and to contest the outcome.
  • The right to data portability - You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organisation or directly to you under certain conditions.

Data Security

We are committed to managing your information with the highest standards of information security.

We have implemented various measures, following best practice standards such as the Information security management standard (ISO 27001) and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard ("PCI-DSS"), to help ensure the security and confidentiality of personal information housed in our system.

These measures include appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect against anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of such information and unauthorised access to or use of such information.

We use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption, pseudonymization, enforce physical access to our buildings and files, and only authorise access to personal information to employees who require it to fulfil their job responsibilities.

We maintain a business continuity plan as a contingency plan, which identifies our business functions, and assets (including personal data) that would need to be maintained in the event of a disaster and set out the procedures for protecting and restoring them if necessary.

In respect of detection and investigation of breaches where they occur, we have in place relevant controls, which should alert us to a breach in security. We endeavor to investigate every breach of security.

In the event of a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to Personal Data, we shall, within 72 (Seventytwo) hours of knowing about such breach, report the details of the breach to the regulatory authority

Furthermore, where we ascertain that such a breach is detrimental to your rights and freedoms in relation to your Personal Data, we shall, within 7 (Seven) days of knowing the occurrence of such a breach, take steps to inform you of the breach incident, the risk to your rights and freedoms resulting from such breach, and any course of action to remedy said breach.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We will hold your Personal Data on Parkway’s systems for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or to comply with legal, regulatory, or internal policy requirements.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Parkway Projects reserves the right to modify and change the Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes to this policy will be published on our site. A notice will not apply where a change relates to adding a new service, extra functionality to the existing services, or any other change that we believe in our reasonable opinion will neither reduce your rights nor increase your responsibilities. In such instances, the change will be made without prior notice to you and shall be effective immediately upon giving notice of it.
